Senior Technical Lead / DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Lead / DevOps Engineer to drive the delivery of digital banking and payments initiatives for a major financial institution. The role combines hands‑on Java development, DevOps engineering, platform support and solution design within a large enterprise environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to Java development for digital banking and payments projects.
• Design and deliver secure payment solutions in collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
• Support the full project lifecycle from design through implementation.
• Manage DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes using Jenkins and Ansible Tower.
• Maintain Windows‑based enterprise platforms and support containerised or micro‑service architectures.
• Ensure secure application development, apply security best practices and handle certificate management.
• Work with enterprise databases such as Oracle, SQL, MongoDB or MarkLogic.
• Collaborate with global technical and business stakeholders and navigate a large organisation.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on Java development experience, preferably with Spring/JEE.
• Senior‑level technical leadership experience in large enterprise environments.
• Proven experience with DevOps practices and tooling.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in agile delivery settings.

What we offer

• 12‑month contract with a daily rate of €700.
• Hybrid working model – three days onsite in Dublin.
