Senior Technical Project/Programme Manager (Hybrid)

About the role

Our client, a leading professional services organisation, is looking for a Senior Technical Project/Programme Manager to drive large‑scale technology transformation programmes. The role is permanent and hybrid, reporting to senior leadership and working with cross‑functional teams across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale technology and business transformation programmes from initiation through implementation.
• Develop and manage programme roadmaps, controlling milestones, risks, dependencies and deliverables.
• Coordinate multiple project workstreams while aligning with business objectives and organisational priorities.
• Build strong relationships with senior business and technical stakeholders, providing regular reporting and recommendations.
• Ensure robust programme governance, including budget, risk, issue, resource planning and benefits realisation.
• Lead multidisciplinary delivery teams across internal functions, third‑party suppliers and external partners.
• Support implementation of project management best practices, delivery methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities to enhance technology delivery capabilities.
• Mentor and support project managers and delivery teams, fostering high performance and professional growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years delivering complex technology programmes in consulting, professional services or large enterprises (or 10+ years enterprise transformation).
• Proven track record of managing large‑scale digital transformation, systems integration or enterprise change programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management across business and technical functions.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee programme governance, financial management, delivery planning and reporting.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed or matrix‑managed delivery teams.
• Solid understanding of Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery approaches.
• Excellent communication, leadership and negotiation skills with experience presenting to senior management.
• Ability to balance strategic oversight with detailed execution.
