Senior Technical Project/Programme Manager – Large‑Scale Tech Transformation

About the role

Our client, a leading professional services organisation, is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Project/Programme Manager to drive large‑scale technology transformation initiatives. You will own end‑to‑end delivery, work closely with senior stakeholders and ensure strategic change is realised across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of complex technology and business transformation programmes, from initiation to implementation.
• Develop and maintain programme roadmaps, controlling milestones, risks, dependencies and deliverables.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams, aligning them with business objectives and organisational priorities.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with senior business and technical stakeholders, providing regular updates and recommendations.
• Manage programme governance, including budgets, risk, issue resolution, resource planning and benefits realisation.
• Lead multidisciplinary delivery teams, including internal functions, third‑party suppliers and external partners.
• Promote best‑practice project management methodologies and continuous improvement.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities to enhance technology delivery capabilities.
• Mentor project managers and delivery teams, fostering high performance and professional growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience delivering complex technology programmes in consulting, professional services or large enterprises (or 10 + years in enterprise technology transformation).
• Proven track record of managing large‑scale digital transformation, systems integration or enterprise change programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management across business and technical functions.
• Experience overseeing programme governance, financial management and delivery planning.
• Ability to lead geographically dispersed or matrix‑managed teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership and negotiation skills, with experience presenting to senior and executive audiences.
