Senior Technical Project/Programme Manager – Large‑Scale Transformation

About the role

Our client, a leading professional services organisation, is seeking a Senior Technical Project/Programme Manager to drive large‑scale technology and business transformation programmes. You will oversee end‑to‑end delivery, work closely with senior stakeholders and ensure strategic technology change is realised across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of complex technology transformation programmes, from initiation through implementation.
• Develop and maintain programme roadmaps, controlling milestones, risks, dependencies and deliverables.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams, aligning them with business objectives and organisational priorities.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with senior business and technical stakeholders, providing regular updates and recommendations.
• Manage programme governance, budgets, risk registers, issue logs, resource planning and benefits realisation.
• Lead multidisciplinary delivery teams, including internal functions, third‑party suppliers and external partners.
• Promote project management best practices, delivery methodologies and continuous improvement.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities to enhance technology delivery capabilities.
• Mentor project managers and delivery teams, fostering high performance and professional growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years delivering complex technology programmes in consulting, professional services or large enterprises (or 10 years in enterprise transformation).
• Proven track record of managing large‑scale digital transformation, systems integration or enterprise change programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management across business and technical functions.
• Experience overseeing programme governance, financial management and delivery planning.
• Ability to lead geographically dispersed or matrix‑managed teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership and negotiation skills, with experience presenting to senior executives.
