Senior Ultrasonographer – Dublin (6‑9 month contract)

About the role

Direct Medics, celebrating 25 years of placing healthcare professionals, are partnering with a client in Dublin 4 to recruit a Senior Ultrasonographer for a 6‑9 month fixed‑term assignment. The role involves delivering high‑quality ultrasound examinations within a busy radiology department.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, supervise and perform ultrasound examinations according to protocols and supervise other staff as required.
• Assist in daily operational management of the ultrasound service.
• Maintain high standards of patient care, technique and safety.
• Stay current with PACS/IT developments and incorporate them into practice.
• Contribute to education and training of staff and students.
• Report equipment faults and participate in clinical audit and quality improvement programmes.
• Undertake postgraduate courses, research projects and adhere to professional guidelines.

Required profile

• Registered with CORU as a Radiographer.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Ultrasound.
• Minimum three years full‑time (or equivalent aggregate) post‑qualification clinical experience in the UK or ROI.
• Full ROI driver’s licence and access to a car.
• Right to live and work in the UK/Ireland without visa sponsorship.
