ServiceNow Engineer – Administration & Configuration (Contract)

About the role

Our client, a large enterprise, is looking for an experienced ServiceNow Engineer to join on a contract basis. You will be responsible for the administration, configuration and continuous improvement of their ServiceNow platform, supporting both day‑to‑day operations and strategic enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, configure and maintain the ServiceNow instance to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Design and implement workflows, forms, catalogs, business rules, notifications and user roles based on business requirements.
• Support the rollout of new ServiceNow modules and platform upgrades, including patching and release management.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Functional Consultants and Development teams to deliver enhancements and resolve incidents.
• Perform troubleshooting, incident resolution and user acceptance testing for production deployments.
• Maintain accurate documentation, configuration records and technical standards.
• Identify process improvements and recommend efficiencies while ensuring governance follows ServiceNow best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on ServiceNow administration and configuration experience.
• Proven experience with core modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD or CSM in an enterprise environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field; ServiceNow certifications highly desirable.
• Strong analytical ability to translate business requirements into platform solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
