Shift Lead – Retail Store (Maternity Cover)

About the role

As a Shift Lead at B&Q Naas you will be the key holder responsible for overseeing daily store operations during your shift. This is a maternity‑cover, fixed‑term role (6‑9 months) working 29.5 hours per week, with flexible start times between 6 am and 10 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.
• Deploy team members effectively to deliver excellent customer service.
• Act as the first point of contact for both customers and staff on the floor.
• Monitor store compliance, health and safety standards, and address any issues promptly.
• Maintain store appearance and operational standards throughout the shift.

• Ability to see the store’s operations holistically, not just isolated areas.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and compliance.
• Enjoys teamwork, motivating colleagues and fostering a positive atmosphere.
