Shift Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Shift Technician to support the Shift Supervisor on a 24/7 production line. The role involves operating and maintaining high‑volume manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting issues and ensuring optimal machine uptime.

Key responsibilities

• Start and stop machines and resolve day‑to‑day processing problems.
• Perform routine maintenance and regular services on production equipment.
• Provide technical cover for the Shift Supervisor when required.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement and new‑product introduction projects.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping and GMP compliance in the work area.
• Conduct orientations and training for new employees.
• Communicate effectively with all departments to coordinate activities.

Required profile

• Willingness to work a four‑cycle shift schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems used in high‑volume manufacturing.
• Relevant degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar technical role.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
