Site Agent – Construction Project Lead

About the role

The Site Agent will be the lead construction professional on site, responsible for delivering a specific project safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Working with a seasoned team, you will oversee all site activities from mobilisation through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the site before launch and manage the full construction phase.
• Compile the initial programme, set weekly targets and drive the project pace.
• Plan and oversee site set‑up, ensuring facilities, temporary works register and HSEQS protocols are in place.
• Manage subcontractor relationships, foremen and site staff, leading daily whiteboard meetings.
• Maintain quality control procedures and monitor onsite energy and waste data.
• Highlight material, resource, schedule, safety or cost issues to contract/commercial teams.
• Coordinate the sequence of activities, delegate responsibilities and ensure contemporaneous documentation.
• Implement an efficient registration system for all site entrants and exits.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience delivering construction projects across multiple sectors.
• Proven ability to lead medium to large‑scale projects and manage diverse teams.
• Strong people‑management and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Calm under pressure, decisive and able to prioritise competing demands.
• Comprehensive knowledge of trades, codes of practice and industrial relations.
