Site Manager – Galway

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of a major construction project in Galway. You will be responsible for coordinating subcontractors, managing on‑site teams and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all site activities from groundworks through to completion.
• Lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour.
• Ensure delivery aligns with programme, specifications and budget.
• Maintain strict health, safety and environmental standards.
• Monitor progress, identify and resolve delays or issues.
• Conduct daily site inspections and quality control checks.
• Chair site meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
• Oversee snagging, commissioning and handover processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor.
• Track record delivering commercial, residential or mixed‑use projects.
• Degree or qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field (desirable).
• Solid understanding of Irish building regulations and H&S standards.
• Safe Pass, Manual Handling and First Aid certifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with construction management systems.
