Site Project Manager – Large‑Scale Construction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Project Manager to lead large‑scale construction projects in Galway. The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery of multi‑million‑euro builds.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily site logistics, welfare facilities, access routes and coordinate subcontractors.
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, conduct inductions, risk assessments and supervise site safety.
• Drive quality assurance through QA/QC systems, Inspection & Test Plans, NCR management and BIM‑based tracking.
• Maintain accurate site documentation including daily diaries, labour and progress records.
• Control short‑term construction programmes, monitor progress and implement recovery actions.
• Oversee site security, welfare provision, visitor inductions and stakeholder communications.
• Support commercial functions with material tracking and subcontractor scope awareness.

Required profile

• Construction‑related degree or equivalent qualification.
• 5–10+ years’ experience with a main contractor on projects exceeding €10 million in Ireland or the UK.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, quality systems and construction delivery processes.
• Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
