Site Reliability Engineer III

About the role

As a Site Reliability Engineer III you will design, operate and continuously improve secure, highly‑available Azure platforms that support large‑scale production environments. You will lead reliability initiatives, mentor junior engineers and partner with engineering, security, architecture and product teams to enhance resilience and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Azure infrastructure including AKS, VMs, Functions, App Services, Storage, Networking, Key Vault and Azure Monitor.
• Define and maintain Service Level Indicators, Objectives and Error Budgets, driving continuous reliability improvements.
• Lead root‑cause analysis, post‑incident reviews and build resilience patterns such as auto‑scaling, self‑healing, disaster recovery and multi‑region failover.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and automate operations using Python, PowerShell, Go or Bash.
• Operate and optimise AKS clusters, enforce container security standards and implement GitOps with ArgoCD.
• Create monitoring, logging, alerting and tracing solutions using Grafana and Azure Monitor.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps, including blue/green and canary deployments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud or Platform Engineering supporting large‑scale production workloads.
• Strong technical leadership, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and participate in on‑call rotations.

Required skills

• Microsoft Azure (including AKS, Functions, App Services, Key Vault).
• Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps and GitOps practices.
• Scripting/programming: Python, PowerShell, Go, Bash.
• Linux administration and monitoring tools (Grafana, Azure Monitor).
