Social Care Worker – Fixed Term

About the role

An Cuan provides regional support for people with intellectual disability who present with challenging behaviours. The Social Care Worker will deliver person‑centred and positive behaviour support plans across Cork and Kerry, working both in community settings and at various service locations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement person‑centred plans and positive behaviour support strategies.
• Collaborate with families, multidisciplinary teams and external professionals to enhance quality of life outcomes.
• Conduct assessments, monitor progress and adjust support plans as needed.
• Provide guidance and recommendations based on interdisciplinary input.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with CORU registration requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum three years experience working with individuals who have intellectual disability, autism or behaviours of concern.
• Relevant third‑level qualification in Social Care meeting CORU standards.
• Professional registration with the Social Care Workers Register (or evidence of pending registration).
• Valid work permission to live and work in Ireland.
• Full clean driving licence.
