Software Engineer, Developer Tools

About the role

Resend is building developer‑focused email tools and needs a Software Engineer to create and maintain SDKs, CLI, MCP and integrations. The position is fully remote, supporting developers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate developer tools and services across multiple languages and frameworks.
• Collaborate with product squads to define clear API contracts and ensure consistent behavior across SDKs, CLI, MCP and documentation.
• Maintain compatibility, testing, releases and upgrades so developers can rely on shipped features.
• Provide direct support to developers via GitHub issues, pull requests and community channels.

Required profile

• Strong backend engineering experience with production APIs or services.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js and understanding of authentication, authorization, retries, idempotency, rate limits and partial failures.
• Experience building software that other developers depend on, with attention to interface design, clear errors and documentation.
