Software Engineer – Embedded Systems

About the role

As a Software Engineer you will join a dedicated team developing high‑quality embedded software and firmware for NetApp storage platforms and flash‑based performance solutions. You will help design innovative technologies that power industry‑leading storage systems, supporting the latest processors, memory technologies, and protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to design, implementation, integration, testing, and debugging.
• Perform performance analysis, optimization, and early customer engagement activities.
• Provide technical leadership, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and mentor junior engineers.
• Support sustaining activities and ensure successful delivery of new platforms and features.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience, including embedded systems, hardware‑oriented software, and low‑level driver development.
• Strong programming expertise in C, C++, and Python.
• Hands‑on experience with unit, functional, and integration testing.
• Proficiency with Linux, FreeBSD, or other UNIX‑based operating systems.
• Experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
