Software Engineer – Full Lifecycle Development (Hybrid)

About the role

Join Cisco's Webex Engineering Group in Galway to design, develop, test, and deliver new features for industry‑leading collaboration products such as Webex Meetings, Calling, and Contact Center. You will work in an agile, hybrid environment, contributing to a highly available microservice architecture while leveraging AI technologies to boost productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in an agile team to deliver full‑lifecycle software features.
• Help design, implement, and operate microservices with a focus on reliability and scalability.
• Integrate AI and data‑science techniques to accelerate feature delivery.
• Write automated tests, investigate issues, and ensure high‑quality code.
• Collaborate with peers, receive mentorship, and participate in formal training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related analytical field.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a data‑driven approach.
• Ability to work flexibly in a diverse, collaborative team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to continuous learning.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Java, Python, C++, JavaScript.
• Experience with Git, DevOps practices, continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• Familiarity with microservice architectures.
• Knowledge of data‑science or AI concepts (preferred).
