Software Engineer – Networking Software and Services

About the role

As a member of the Network Software and Services for AI (nssAI) team, you will design and build high‑performance software that powers the monitoring, configuration and automation of xAI’s massive GPU super‑computing fabric. The role is hands‑on and spans the full lifecycle of network management tools, from metric collection to zero‑touch provisioning and auto‑remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop extensible tools and services that provide deep metrics coverage for thousands of network devices.
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code best practices to improve deployment pipelines and ensure secure, reliable service delivery.
• Collaborate daily with network engineers to translate topology and protocol knowledge into scalable software solutions.
• Travel to Palo Alto for on‑site collaboration and data‑center testing of the software you create.

Required profile

• Proven ability to design and ship reliable, high‑throughput software that can orchestrate tens of thousands of devices.
• Comfort working in ambiguous environments and creating metrics that guide team priorities.
• Strong communication skills and a hands‑on, ownership‑driven work ethic.
