Solution Architect Azure

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and deliver Azure‑centric cloud and hybrid solutions. You will collaborate with engineering, data and application teams to create secure, scalable architectures that meet business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure and resilient cloud and on‑premise architectures aligned with strategic goals.
• Define Azure‑based solutions using services such as Azure Functions, Containers, App Service and Azure SQL.
• Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure designs comply with architecture standards and security policies.
• Develop and maintain architecture principles, standards, documentation and reference architectures.
• Review existing architectures to identify risks, optimisation opportunities and recommend improvements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations.
• Communicate solution designs clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• 5‑7+ years of experience in solution or technical architecture roles.
• 3+ years working in an Azure‑focused cloud environment.
• Proven ability to define solution designs and lead technical direction.
• Experience with hybrid and highly integrated environments.
• Architecture certification such as TOGAF or Zachman is desirable.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; Azure certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Functions, Azure Containers, Azure App Service and Azure SQL.
• Broad understanding of applications, integrations, data platforms, infrastructure and networking.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into cohesive solution designs.
