Staff Nurse – Adult Residential Services

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Staff Nurse (RNID) to join our Adult Residential Services in Longford/Westmeath. This full‑time permanent position offers the chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of adults with intellectual disabilities and autism while developing your clinical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to residents in their homes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote positive risk management and inclusion.
• Maintain accurate, electronic care documentation and produce computerized reports.
• Support behaviour‑of‑concern interventions and person‑centred planning.
• Respond to safeguarding concerns and adhere to HIQA standards.

Required profile

• Registered on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (RNID) or awaiting registration.
• Strong communication, leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Knowledge of HIQA standards and safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
• Flexibility to work day, weekend, night and overnight shifts across multiple homes.
• Full, current manual driving licence in Ireland.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and basic IT tools.
