Staff Nurse – Emergency Department

About the role

The Health Service Executive is recruiting a Staff Nurse to join the Emergency Department at Naas General Hospital. This full‑time position involves delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care to patients presenting with urgent medical needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
• Provide holistic, person‑centred care that promotes independence and enhances quality of life.
• Deliver clinical and administrative duties required in an acute emergency setting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse on the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) register.
• Maintain live annual registration with NMBI and submit the Patient Safety Assurance Certificate.
• Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in an acute Emergency Department.
• Good health and good character, enabling regular and efficient service delivery.
