Staff Nurse / Enhanced Nurse – Community Services

About the role

Corlann – West Region is seeking dedicated Staff Nurses and Enhanced Nurses to join its Orchard Adult Services team in Gort, Co. Galway. You will work in a community‑based, person‑centred environment supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and autism, helping them achieve independence and a valued life in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and health monitoring for individuals in residential, respite, day‑centre or home settings.
• Develop, review and implement person‑centred care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Advocate for service users, promoting their rights, choices and participation in daily activities.
• Administer medication, conduct clinical assessments and respond to health emergencies.
• Support skill development and independence through tailored interventions.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification (or equivalent) with a valid registration in Ireland.
• Experience or strong interest in working with adults with intellectual disabilities or autism.
• Flexibility to work across different settings and adapt to changing service needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and medication administration.

• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
