Staff Nurse – Residential Elderly Care

About the role

Silver Stream Healthcare Group is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join the team at Ratoath Manor Nursing Home. You will provide comprehensive nursing care, supervise daily resident activities, and help create a safe, supportive environment for elderly residents.

Key responsibilities

• Manage resident admissions, discharges, and medication administration in line with best practices.
• Develop and maintain person‑centred care plans and accurate care notes.
• Supervise mealtimes, feeding requirements, and personal care tasks.
• Lead a team of Health Care Assistants, allocate duties and ensure quality performance.
• Participate in in‑house training, emergency response and health‑and‑safety compliance.
• Maintain clear, concise records in accordance with legislation and HIQA standards.
• Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.

Required profile

• Registered on the Irish Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBI) with an active PIN.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; at least 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with HIQA standards and the Health Act Regulations 2013.
• Strong clinical and communication abilities.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
