Staff Nurse, Social Care & Support Worker – Westmeath Residential Services

About the role

We are seeking qualified Staff Nurses, Social Care Workers and Support Workers to join our residential services across Westmeath. You will help adults with physical, intellectual disabilities or autism develop independent living skills, engage with the community and maintain their health and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day, evening or overnight residential support in both individual and group settings.
• Assist residents with personal care, daily living activities and health monitoring.
• Promote community inclusion and independence through tailored activities.
• Participate in night‑time duties, including sleep‑overs and waking night shifts.
• Maintain accurate records and follow HIQA standards.

Required profile

• Relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care (Level 7) approved by CORU, or nursing qualification (RNID/General/Mental Health) registered with NMBI, or HSE‑recognised FETAC/QQI Level 5 award.
• Current or pending registration with CORU for social care candidates.
• Valid manual driving licence in Ireland.
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities or autism.
• Knowledge of HIQA standards and basic IT proficiency (email, word processing, care systems).

Required skills

• Basic IT skills – email, word processing and use of care management systems.
