Supervising Pharmacist (12‑month maternity cover)

About the role

We are looking for a Supervising Pharmacist to lead our Lucan Shopping Centre Pharmacy for a 12‑month maternity cover. You will ensure the dispensary runs safely, efficiently and in full compliance with PSI guidelines and Irish pharmacy law while delivering high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the dispensary to the highest legal and professional standards, following PSI guidelines.
• Provide a safe, efficient and friendly dispensing service, including vaccinations, health screenings and patient counselling.
• Uphold ethical standards, accuracy and professionalism in all pharmacy operations.
• Ensure timely and secure delivery of medicines to customers.
• Collaborate with GPs, nurses and other healthcare professionals for integrated patient care.
• Support the monthly claims process with accurate submissions to the relevant payment boards.

Required profile

• At least three years of experience as a qualified pharmacist.
• Holder of a PSI‑approved pharmacy qualification and registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
