Systems Administrator – IT Infrastructure & Cloud

About the role

Our client, a dynamic professional services organisation based in Dublin City Centre, is seeking a Systems Administrator to join their established IT function. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing core infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking, and security systems across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server (2019+) environments on‑premise and in the cloud.
• Manage Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Intune, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Maintain SQL Server platforms and related databases.
• Provide networking support – switching, routing, wireless and VPN solutions.
• Oversee cybersecurity tools, endpoint protection, patching and firewall technologies.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, handle upgrades, deployments and lifecycle management.
• Assist with security controls, audit remediation, access reviews and infrastructure hardening.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Windows Server 2019+ and hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of AD/Azure AD, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 suite and related administration.
• Experience supporting SQL Server and enterprise networking.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools, firewalls and VPN technologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
