Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to lead the operations and expansion of a new European Sovereign Cloud initiative. You will work closely with global teams to shape cloud services, improve reliability, and share knowledge across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations and drive the growth of the European Sovereign Cloud platform.
• Collaborate with international teams to influence cloud service evolution and technology choices.
• Enhance availability, reliability, and performance of cloud services.
• Develop, test, and maintain scripts that streamline team workflows.
• Participate in on‑call rotations to resolve incidents outside standard hours.
• Educate service teams on the cloud initiative and best practices.

Required profile

• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and network troubleshooting or network administration.
• Proficiency in Python, Perl, or another scripting language.
• Ability to read scripts and understand operational procedures.
• Experience operating services in cloud environments or using Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Knowledge of 24×7 high‑availability distributed applications and performance tuning.
