Tax Specialist – Indirect Tax & Compliance (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are looking for a Tax Specialist to join our expanding international tax department on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. Working closely with the Global Business Services team in Cork, you will support indirect tax compliance and digital reporting in a flexible hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file all indirect tax returns, ensuring timely payment.
• Perform periodic balance‑sheet reconciliations and journal postings for indirect tax balances.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on tax queries related to supply chains, contracts and audits.
• Update ERP system with new rates and reporting configurations.
• Participate in the rollout and testing of electronic invoicing mandates.
• Support AP, AR and Revenue teams to resolve compliance issues.
• Maintain the VAT issues log and provide updates to senior GBS management.
• Uphold internal controls to minimise audit and SOX deficiencies.

Required profile

• Qualified Tax Professional, Chartered Accountant or equivalent.
• 3+ years post‑qualification experience, preferably in indirect tax, compliance or regulatory reporting.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret tax legislation and complex data.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross‑functional global teams.
