Team Leader – Adult Day Service

About the role

The Team Leader will oversee ICARE Buncrana’s iADULT Day Service, providing a safe, person‑centred environment for adults who attend the community‑based programme. Working closely with service users, their families and senior management, the role focuses on promoting wellbeing, independence and active participation in daily activities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the safety, health and welfare of all adults attending the day service.
• Coordinate and deliver a varied programme of events and activities that support personal goals.
• Liaise regularly with parents, guardians and management to discuss progress and address concerns.
• Implement the New Directions framework and uphold a person‑centred approach in all interactions.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to service planning and evaluation.

Required profile

• Experience working with adults in a care or community setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to person‑centred practice and continuous improvement.
• Organisational ability to plan and supervise activities.
