Technical Operations Centre Engineer

About the role

As a Technical Operations Centre Engineer you will ensure the continuous operation of Ilkari’s data‑centre and cloud environments. You will monitor, maintain and troubleshoot network, power, cooling, access control, hardware and critical applications in a 24/7/365 setting.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively monitor data‑centre network, servers, storage and cloud components across production and non‑production environments.
• Respond to alerts, alarms and incidents, diagnosing and resolving issues to minimise downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance, firmware and software upgrades on servers, switches, routers and storage systems.
• Develop and document processes, procedures and knowledge‑base articles to achieve service excellence.
• Manage outage tickets, coordinate with internal teams and external providers, and ensure SLA compliance.
• Detect, analyse and respond to security incidents, applying containment and reporting protocols.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• Proven experience in a Technical Operations Centre or cloud services call centre.
• Strong communication skills in English and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Motivated, positive and eager to learn new technologies.

Required skills

• Experience with monitoring tools and real‑time datacentre monitoring.
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices for incident, request and change management.
• Understanding of networking protocols, server technologies and storage systems.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity incident response and security best practices.
