Test Lab Senior Manager

About the role

The Test Lab Senior Manager will lead the new EU Center of Excellence test laboratory in Dublin. The lab will support cooling and heating testing for Data Center, Mission Critical and Decarbonisation markets and will grow to a team of up to 20 operators, technicians and test engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Source, recruit and certify a workforce with required EU certifications (e.g., F‑gas, electrical safety).
• Lead the specification, design, construction and commissioning of the new lab.
• Manage day‑to‑day lab operations, balancing customer demand with resource availability.
• Oversee operational and capital budgets and drive efficiency through KPI tracking.
• Collaborate with global test labs (York, US; Wuxi, China) to share best practices and standardise equipment.
• Develop automation and standardisation initiatives to increase utilisation.
• Represent the business in union contract negotiations and implement cross‑training programmes.
• Apply Lean principles and structured problem‑solving (A3, 8D) for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with EU regulations, safety standards and environmental requirements.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of experience supervising test‑lab or manufacturing operations.
• Direct experience with chillers or HVAC products is preferred.
• Knowledge of Data‑Center cooling technology testing is a strong plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Proven ability to build and lead multicultural teams.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
