Travel Technician – Wireless Communications

About the role
Sigma Wireless Communications is seeking a Travel Technician to support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Motorola DMR Radio and DAS communication systems across Europe and other international locations. The role involves hands‑on technical work, troubleshooting, and providing user training while traveling to project sites.
Key responsibilities
- Install and configure Motorola DMR Radio and DAS communication equipment, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
- Perform routine system maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades to maintain optimal performance.
- Identify and resolve technical faults using diagnostic tools to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to plan system expansions and upgrades.
- Travel to various sites for deployments, installations, and on‑site support.
- Document system configurations, maintenance activities, and generate performance reports.
- Provide end‑user training and technical support for radio and communication systems.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of experience with two‑way radio and wireless communication systems.
- Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in radio systems or electronics are a plus.
- Full driver’s licence and ability to travel internationally.
