VP of Finance (Commercial Leadership)

About the role

This senior finance position reports directly to the Group CFO and sits on the leadership team of a global technology company in the network security space. The role is focused on commercial finance, business partnering and strategic planning within an international software environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CFO and senior leaders to inform strategic and operational decisions.
• Provide financial insight, commercial analysis and performance metrics across the business unit.
• Collaborate with project managers and operational leaders on revenue forecasting, project profitability, margin analysis and cash‑flow planning.
• Analyse trends, risks and opportunities, delivering clear commentary and recommendations.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process and drive financial planning for revenue, costs, profitability and cash flow.
• Oversee monthly management accounts, consolidated reporting and revenue‑recognition processes.
• Manage a small finance team and build strong relationships across finance, operations, sales and project management.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA).
• Approximately 5 years of experience at Financial Controller level.
• Strong commercial finance and business‑partnering capability.
• Experience in software, SaaS or technology environments is highly advantageous.
• Deep understanding of revenue recognition and deferred revenue.
