About the role
The Youth and Family Work Manager will lead the development, coordination and delivery of youth and family programmes across three community centres in North Clondalkin. This full‑time position supports young people aged 10‑25, families and local communities through inclusive, community‑based and digital approaches.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage youth and family work across Balgaddy, Neilstown and Rowlagh Community Centres.
- Develop, coordinate and evaluate detached, centre‑based and digital youth work provisions.
- Facilitate meaningful participation of young people in planning, delivery and evaluation of programmes.
- Build and maintain relationships with young people, families, local partners and community stakeholders.
- Coordinate family support and advocacy services across the three centres.
- Embed a community‑development approach that encourages volunteering and local capacity building.
- Support staff, volunteers, Tús participants and Community Employment participants.
- Maintain accurate records, report on outcomes and support programme evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, safeguarding, health and safety and relevant legal requirements.
- Represent YMCA Dublin at meetings, events and local networks.
Required profile
- Proven experience in youth work and community engagement.
- Experience working with young people, families and community organisations.
- Understanding of youth‑related challenges and community needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and project‑management abilities.
- Self‑directed and capable of working independently.
Required skills
What we offer
- Fixed‑term 3‑year contract.
- Annual salary of €45,000.
- Full‑time role (37.5 hours per week) based onsite at three community centres.
