About the role
The Youth & Community Engagement Worker supports Jigsaw’s mission to promote youth mental health across community and education settings in Limerick. This full‑time permanent role focuses on amplifying youth voices, delivering mental‑health promotion activities, and building partnerships with local organisations.
Key responsibilities
- Implement, evaluate and evolve Jigsaw’s youth voice and engagement framework.
- Recruit, induct, train and provide ongoing support to youth advocates.
- Facilitate regular youth advocate meetings to surface issues and inform service planning.
- Develop initiatives that empower youth advocates as ambassadors for mental‑health promotion.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager and Clinical Manager to safeguard the wellbeing of youth advocates.
- Strengthen local networks and partnerships with community organisations to improve mental‑health outcomes for young people.
- Coordinate and deliver workshops and programmes on youth mental‑health promotion.
- Represent Jigsaw at community meetings such as Child and Family Support Networks.
- Produce reports and presentations for diverse stakeholder audiences.
