Team Leader – Residential Services for Adults with Intellectual Disability

About the role

The Team Leader will oversee the day‑to‑day management of residential services for adults with intellectual disability in Limerick City, ensuring compliance with HIQA regulations and delivering high‑quality, personalised support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of residential services, maintaining and developing personalised support plans.
• Ensure all services meet current and emerging needs of service users.
• Monitor and enforce HIQA standards and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise, mentor and evaluate staff performance.
• Provide on‑call support and work evenings and weekends as required.
• Assume the role of Person in Charge after three years of management experience.

Required profile

• Relevant Level 7 qualification (or higher) with appropriate regulator registration.
• Minimum three years experience in health or social care sector.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations.
• Ability to manage and supervise staff effectively.
• Commitment to Personal Lifestyle Planning and proactive teamwork.
• Full clean driving licence and own vehicle.

Required skills

• Proficient IT and administration skills, including report writing.
