Account Executive – Financial Lines

About the role

Howden Ireland is looking for an enthusiastic, client‑focused Account Executive to join its growing Financial Lines team. This newly created position will support the expansion of Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers, Cyber, Crime and related Financial Lines insurance products.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and service a portfolio of Financial Lines clients across multiple industry sectors.
• Assist with placement and renewal of insurance programmes, including PI, D&O, Cyber, Crime, and Employment Practices Liability.
• Develop strong relationships with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare renewal strategies, market submissions and presentations.
• Obtain and negotiate quotations to secure competitive coverage and pricing.
• Support senior team members in identifying cross‑selling and upselling opportunities.
• Handle day‑to‑day client queries, policy documentation, endorsements and renewal reports.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in commercial insurance.
• Strong experience with Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers or Cyber insurance products.
• Proven ability to manage corporate and commercial client relationships.
• Good technical understanding of Financial Lines products and policy wordings.
