Account Manager – Retail Sector

About the role

Glory is looking for an Account Manager to help shape and grow its presence in the retail sector in Ireland. You will build strong relationships with strategic clients and drive the company's growth strategy by developing new business, strengthening existing accounts and showcasing the value of its solutions. The role suits someone with some commercial experience who wants to take the next step, with ongoing development and career growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the overall engagement with customers and new-name customers, maximising account profitability
• Forecast sales, revenue and margin from each customer
• Create, agree and implement the sales approach, plans and objectives for assigned customers
• Lead sales activities including solution design, commercial arrangements, collateral creation, demonstrations, negotiation and closing
• Provide commercial leadership in contract negotiations and ensure contracts cover sales, loans and ongoing hardware and software support
• Build relationships with customers' management and procurement teams to maximise budget share and customer satisfaction
• Support customers with business case design and benefit calculations, and maintain a pipeline of opportunities
• Use bid review, sales reporting and CRM/pipeline management tools, and act as escalation point for project and service delivery issues
• Gather market and competitor intelligence and manage the customer's debt position so no overdue payments accumulate

Required profile

• Significant experience in a related sales environment
• Degree-educated with a business qualification (desirable)
• High commercial acumen and ability to understand a customer's business, aims and objectives
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with several influencing and negotiation strategies
• Able to work under pressure and to deadlines, and to identify opportunities in new markets
