About the role
Oak Global is building a greenfield technology team in Dublin and is looking for an AI Engineering Lead to define and deliver AI capabilities for its OCEAN analytics platform. This senior, hands‑on position will shape the architecture, implementation patterns and engineering standards for AI‑enabled solutions that support underwriting intelligence and operational decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end design, development and delivery of proprietary AI features that enhance analytics workflows.
- Own the full AI lifecycle: evaluation, deployment, monitoring, iteration and continuous improvement.
- Design AI application architectures that integrate with Oak’s data platform and OCEAN.
- Translate complex business requirements into reliable, auditable AI software with clear testing and operational controls.
- Harden prototypes into production‑grade, secure and resilient components.
- Provide technical leadership on architecture decisions, feasibility assessments and risk analysis.
- Mentor engineers and analytical teams working on AI‑enabled capabilities.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Lead or Staff AI/ML Engineer or equivalent senior AI engineering role.
- Demonstrated delivery of production‑grade AI/ML applications.
- Strong background in designing AI architectures and integrating them with data platforms.
- Ability to assess technical feasibility, prioritize AI opportunities and guide implementation.
- Experience providing mentorship and technical guidance to cross‑functional teams.
