AI Governance and Capabilities Specialist

About the role

As an AI Governance and Capabilities Specialist at PTSB, you will lead the testing, monitoring and regulatory compliance of all AI technologies used across the Digital and Direct functions. You will ensure AI models operate reliably, securely and in line with the EU AI Act and internal risk policies while providing clear insights to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for end‑to‑end AI governance, performance optimisation and risk management.
• Maintain a best‑practice AI governance framework covering model lifecycle, risk controls and oversight of Genesys‑related AI features.
• Lead testing, validation and performance reviews of current and future AI solutions to meet regulatory and internal standards.
• Develop and run continuous AI monitoring and reporting processes, delivering insights on model behaviour and emerging risks.
• Identify innovation opportunities to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency and business outcomes through AI.
• Act as liaison between technology, business and risk teams, communicating AI usage, updates and governance requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience applying a wide range of AI technologies, including large language models, conversational AI, advanced analytics, speech‑based automation and knowledge‑base structures.
• Strong understanding of AI risk, governance and regulatory compliance in enterprise environments.
• Ability to interpret data, extract actionable insights and communicate findings to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience in machine learning, AI or a related field, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Demonstrated experience working in cross‑functional teams and managing projects.
