AI Operations Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an AI Operations Security Engineer to join Cisco’s Collaboration organization in Galway. In this hybrid role you will develop, deploy and operate AI‑driven automation that secures our operations platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate AI Ops automation for security operations, tuning AI models with production data and feedback.
• Build monitoring and observability solutions to detect threats in real time.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with embedded security and compliance controls.
• Architect, maintain and harden security controls across software and infrastructure, conducting assessments aligned with SOC 2, FedRAMP and ISO 27001.
• Lead security and compliance testing, manage incident response, and mitigate risks for AI Ops platforms.
• Drive migration and integration with existing systems, define security requirements and produce performance metrics.
• Contribute to threat modeling for AI‑driven risks and author detection logic and automation.
• Mentor junior staff and lead design reviews to ensure reliability, observability and security by design.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 7 + years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 4 + years, or PhD with 1 + year.
• Strong conceptual and practical knowledge of AI Ops, site reliability engineering, or production operations of AI‑driven systems.
• Experience with security engineering practices across a range of technologies.
