Airport Delivery Driver

About the role

The Driver role is responsible for delivering, loading and unloading meals and equipment to aircraft at Dublin Airport. This customer‑facing position requires a professional image, strong communication and strict adherence to safety and security procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the vehicle at the start of each shift and ensure it is security‑checked and sealed.
• Load and offload meals from the truck to aircraft safely and in a timely manner, following airport safety rules and airline requirements.
• Drive to aircraft in compliance with RSA, local and airport regulations.
• Load aircraft according to galley plans and company policies.
• Hand over security paperwork to crew and obtain signed delivery notes.
• Return catering to the unit and unload into the appropriate departments.
• Use the tachograph for every trip and complete vehicle sign‑out/in procedures.
• Perform housekeeping duties for the fleet, including cleaning and refuelling.
• Assist other departments during downtime as required.

Required profile

• Current Class C licence, CPC licence and digital tachograph.
• Minimum 1 year experience operating rigid trucks.
• Availability to work weekdays and weekends.
• Willingness to undergo Garda vetting and a five‑year background check.

Required skills

• Ability to load and unload meals safely following airport and airline procedures.
• Knowledge of RSA, local and airport driving regulations.
• Proficiency in using a tachograph and completing vehicle sign‑out/in documentation.
