Analytical Sciences Associate Specialist

About the role

Join MSD's strategic manufacturing site in Carlow, a state‑of‑the‑art facility supporting vaccines, biologics and small‑molecule drugs. As an Analytical Sciences Associate Specialist you will manage the full lifecycle of analytical methods, from introduction to transfer and ongoing optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Introduce and validate new analytical methods and technologies, including tech‑transfer to manufacturing.
• Assess and implement changes to existing methods and equipment, such as parameter or reagent updates.
• Provide technical SME support for regulatory queries, audits and investigations.
• Troubleshoot analytical equipment and method issues across cross‑functional teams.
• Author technical documentation for investigations, regulatory responses and change control.
• Train QC, manufacturing end‑users and site analytical personnel on methods and systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
• 2‑3 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
