Associate Director, Data Analytics

About the role

The Associate Director, Data Analytics will lead digitalisation projects for manufacturing data at MSD's Carlow site. Reporting to the Technical Operations Commercial Process Lead, you will act as the Data Analytics SME, supporting New Product Introduction, Validation and IPT teams while ensuring compliance with GMP and global policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and represent data analytics engineering in site meetings for digitalisation initiatives.
• Perform statistical data analysis to support development and commercialisation batches and provide recommendations.
• Provide SME input for quality notifications, investigations and root‑cause analyses.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen events and change‑management processes.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, regulatory requirements and global policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific, engineering or technical discipline.
• Proven experience in data analysis within a GMP manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of data integrity, statistical analysis and digitalisation initiatives.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodology and project management across multiple disciplines.

Required skills

• Data‑visualisation tools: Power BI, Spotfire, Shiny.
• Manufacturing systems: MES, DeltaV, SAP, LIMS, PI.
• Lean Six Sigma, Change Management, Statistical Analysis, Root‑cause analysis.
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory knowledge for Irish, European and International codes.
