Engineering Specialist – Biotech Manufacturing

About the role

The Engineering Centre of Excellence at our Dublin biotech site is seeking a motivated Engineering Specialist. You will lead strategic initiatives in sustainability, business continuity, continuous improvement and asset reliability to drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sustainability and energy management programmes, supporting Net Zero and ISO 50001 activities.
• Own and maintain the site Business Continuity Plan, conducting risk assessments for critical infrastructure.
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on safety, reliability, quality, compliance and cost reduction.
• Manage utility billing, analyse consumption data and develop cost‑optimisation business cases.
• Act as primary engineering liaison with local authorities and external stakeholders.
• Develop dashboards, reports and visualisations to enable data‑driven decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Energy or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience in sustainability, utilities management, continuous improvement and engineering project delivery.
