Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑impact research on hybrid AI architectures, knowledge representation and reasoning under uncertainty.
• Secure competitive research funding and lead interdisciplinary research initiatives.
• Supervise higher degree research students to successful completion.
• Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate curricula in AI.
• Enhance the school’s research profile and industry partnerships.
• Participate in academic governance, strategic planning and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Required profile

• Established academic with a strong, sustained record of high‑impact publications in Neurosymbolic AI.
• National or international reputation in integrating neural and symbolic methods.
• Proven ability to obtain research funding and lead research teams.
• Experience in supervising graduate students and delivering high‑quality teaching.
• Demonstrated leadership within the discipline and collaborative mindset.
