Post Primary Mathematics Teacher

About the role

The Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board is seeking a qualified Post Primary Mathematics Teacher for St. Paul’s Community College in Waterford. This is a pro‑Rata contract for the 2026/27 academic year, working 22 hours per week, to deliver high‑quality mathematics education in line with the Teaching Council’s Code of Professional Conduct.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess mathematics lessons for post‑primary students.
• Provide learning support and guidance to help students achieve curriculum objectives.
• Develop and maintain lesson resources and assessment materials.
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive learning environment.
• Adhere to professional standards and school policies.

Required profile

• Suitable teaching qualification and registration with the Teaching Council.
• Experience teaching mathematics at post‑primary level.
• Commitment to the 22‑hour weekly schedule for the academic year.
• Understanding of inclusive education and equal opportunity principles.
