Associate Professor / Lecturer in Proteomics (5-year fixed-term)

About the role
The University College Dublin School of Medicine and Conway Institute seek a senior academic to lead proteomics research and direct the Conway Proteomics Core. This is a five‑year fixed‑term appointment at the level of Associate Professor or Lecturer/Assistant Professor.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and lead a high‑impact proteomics research programme.
- Secure significant external research funding.
- Manage and strategically evolve the Conway Proteomics Core facility.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations, staff supervision and service delivery.
- Collaborate with the School of Medicine and Institute leadership.
- Deliver teaching and mentorship to undergraduate and postgraduate students (where applicable).
Required profile
- PhD in proteomics, biochemistry, molecular biology or a closely related field.
- Strong publication record and proven ability to obtain research grants.
- Experience in leading a research group or core facility.
- Excellent academic leadership and communication skills.
