Business Analyst – MIS Programme Management

About the role

Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Business Analyst will be a key member of a project team delivering a portfolio of strategic MIS projects for the higher education sector. The role involves implementing large‑scale MIS programmes that require significant business process change and close stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements.
• Analyse workflows to create process maps and identify improvement areas.
• Develop functional specifications for system enhancements.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure functionality and usability.
• Monitor major cases in supplier ticketing systems and communicate status.
• Collaborate with internal and supplier teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Prepare training material and support end‑users during and after implementation.
• Contribute to upgrading existing systems or implementing new solutions.

Required profile

• A relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum three years of business analysis experience, including process documentation and UAT script development.
• Knowledge of programming, system design, IT infrastructure and database concepts.
• Proven experience with business analysis tools, techniques and approaches.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret business needs and devise solutions.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a customer‑service focus.
• High attention to detail and proactive collaboration skills.
• Sound judgment, problem‑solving capability and flexibility to adapt to evolving needs.
