Business Development Executive

About the role

The Business Development Executive will drive growth for DHL Global Forwarding across Air, Ocean and Road services within a defined territory. The role combines new‑business acquisition with account management, ensuring the implementation of functional strategies that meet revenue, profitability and service targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional sales and account strategies aligned with country business plans.
• Oversee sales activities, initiatives and portfolio alignment to achieve revenue and service goals.
• Contribute to pricing strategies and lead contract negotiations for new accounts.
• Steer key‑account retention, growth and profitability, engaging senior management on transformational deals.
• Support cross‑selling and collaboration with DHL Express and DHL Supply Chain.
• Define sector strategies, consolidate industry demands and share best practices.
• Coordinate customer‑facing functions to deliver consistent service.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity and translate product offerings into customer solutions.
• Ensure compliance with revenue, international trade, data protection and all DGF policies.
