Business Development Manager – EV Charging Projects (Ireland)

About the role
We are expanding our electric vehicle (EV) charging and smart‑energy solutions across the Island of Ireland and need a commercially driven Business Development Manager to own and grow a pipeline of project‑based EV charging and home energy management system (HEMS) opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, develop and win commercial EV charging projects (both AC and DC).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with charge point operators, developers, consultants and contractors.
- Manage the full sales cycle from early specification through to delivery, including tender submissions and commercial negotiations.
- Influence architects, design teams and consultants to generate demand for EV infrastructure.
- Collaborate with internal EV specialists and sales teams to maximise opportunity capture.
- Provide market insight on trends, competition and growth opportunities.
Required profile
- Proven experience winning project‑based or specification‑led sales in EV charging, renewables, electrical, M&E, building services or related infrastructure sectors.
- Established network of contacts within contractors, consultants, developers or infrastructure clients.
- Strong commercial acumen with understanding of pipeline growth, margins and ROI.
- Self‑starter capable of independently managing a large territory.
Required skills
- Knowledge of EV charging technologies (AC & DC) and HEMS.
- Understanding of commercial project sales cycles and tender processes.
